Creativity lives inside of us. For some of us it is alive and well, for some of us it is hidden. If we ignore this gift, we can feel unfulfilled, sometimes depressed or moody. That is why tapping into your own creativity is so important. Here is a definition of the word that might help you start to think about it and its importance.

the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships,or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination:
the need for creativity in modern industry; creativity in the performingarts.

People get confused and think they are not creative because they can’t “draw” or “write” or “act” but creativity goes broader and deeper than that.
You can be creative in the way you manage your household expenses, chores, how you work with your children, how you help and support your friends.
You can make lemonade out of lemons, see possibilities in work situations, come up with ideas that help the team. If you compare yourself to others,
you can feel like you are not accomplishing what they are and just give up what you have started to do.
If you have a secret wish to write, don’t give up you day job but write when you can, paint when you can, design when you can, allow yourself to feel the joy of creating and it will help you to feel more fulfilled and happy.
Dreams are an important part of becoming who we want to be. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, there are not failures, just learning experiences.
